Matthew DiMarsico

March 2026 – Colorado has signed undrafted free agent Matthew DiMarsico to a two-year ELC, and he will join the playoff-bound Colorado Eagles on an AHL deal for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign. The forward just completed his third season with Penn State where he put up 18 goals and 42 points in 37 games. His goal total was second on the team behind top prospect Gavin McKenna, but his scoring was extremely clustered thanks to three hat tricks on the year. He is a high-volume shooter and only suffered one pointless drought on the year, so he’s capable of generating offense for others. He also added 18 PIMs to his stat line, and he’s surpassed that number in previous years.

A two-year deal will give the organization a chance to see where he fits in the lineup – he spent time on the powerplay at PSU but he Eagles tend to lean on veteran pros for their top scoring roles so its likely that he rotates through all four lines primarily at even strength until he develops some chemistry with the squad. The team hasn’t been afraid to scratch players with ELC term left if they don’t find a fit so his games played in 2026-27 will be a good indicator of his long-term fit in Colorado. Hayden Soboleski
