July 2025 – Colorado selected Roed with their third and final pick of the draft (7th round, 214th overall). The centerman led the Tri-City Storm of the USHL in scoring last year with 27 goals and 60 points in 61 games played, and will be joining St Cloud State in the NCAA for 2025-26. He will turn 20 early in the season so he is on the older side for a new prospect, but gambling on a dynamic scorer is a worthy use of a pick that late. He was not heavily scouted prior to the 2025 draft, but his game has been identified to be strongest when he has the puck on his stick in the o-zone with some tenacity on the backcheck as well. Do not add to your fantasy radars until he transitions some of that offense to college hockey, this will be a long-term project. Hayden Soboleski
