Noah Steen

June 2026 – Steen signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning in April 2026. His deal carries an average annual value (AAV) of $972K and runs through the 2027-28 season. Steen totaled 22 points in 52 games for Orebro HK (SHL), his final European season before moving to North America. Steen scored once in five games for the Syracuse Crunch (AHL). The 21-year-old was impressive at the 2026 World Championships, where he scored seven goals in 10 games for Norway. Steen could develop into yet another late-round draft score in Tampa Bay if he can continue scoring at the pro level. Chris Babos

July 2025 – Steen is solidifying his identity as an energy forward who can shoulder defensive responsibilities and add the occasional goal from rushes and his net-front presence. It is a rather complex role to break into the NHL with, and only being deployed with fourth-line ice time in the SHL is not particularly promising. November 2024 – Drafted 199th in 2024 by the Tampa Bay Lightning, Steen is a dependable, defensive-minded forward who battles hard for the puck and isn’t afraid to be physical. He mostly racks up goals with tips and cleaning up rebounds while working in front of opposing nets. Possessing an average shot, he relies on getting close to the net and crashing his rebound. Dependable on defense, Steen was relied upon by his team to take defensive shifts. He projects as a bottom-six energy guy who can throw his body around and agitate.
