He’s a tall, lanky kid that skates well for his size, but his offensive ceiling will be capped fairly low. He could be a bottom-pairing defensive defenseman.

May 2023 – Something clicked offensively for Romeo in the second half of 2022-2023. In his prior 91 OHL games he had three goals, but in his last 30 games with Guelph he notched eight goals. This is not to say he will ever be confused with being an offensive defenseman, but it was nice to see him pot a few. He will need to sign by June 1st with Ottawa or he will be a free agent. April 2022 – Romeo who is in his rookie season in the OHL was traded by the Hamilton Bulldogs to the Sarnia Sting after 28 games for a 2nd round pick in 2022 and a 3rd round pick in 2023. The move to Sarnia, gave him a little more ice time but he struggled early on with his defensive positioning and taking bad penalties before settling into his game. He will have completed his D+1 season at the end of 2021-22 and still be 18-years-old so there is hope that he will continue to improve as he possesses some intriguing skillsets for his size.
