February 2024 – After missing the entirety of last season due to injury, Dickinson finally started his first full season at the professional level. Following a predictably slow start to his season, Dickinson has accumulated five goals and 12 assists, totaling 17 points in his last 23 ECHL games. This resurgence marks a significant step in the right direction for a prospect who needs it. Cedrick Blais-Turcotte
August 2023 – After two leg surgeries and a year of rehab where he said he still felt a deficiency in his leg. Dickinson returned to the ice for the Blues’ prospect camp. Even though he is still getting used to the ice, Tim Taylor, Blues’ personnel director, said it is impressive how fast and strong he is after a year and a half without playing. Dickinson hopes he will play a full season with the Thunderbirds this year. Cedrick Blais-Turcotte
May 2023 – Dickinson’s recovery from a broken femur caused him to miss the entire 2022-23 season. He still attended development camp last summer, and he skated, but was not allowed to play in scrimmages. The Blues still consider Dickinson as one of their best prospects, but this loss of development time certainly doesn’t help his odds. He will go straight into the AHL when he returns. – Dobber
June 2022 – Dickinson was having a stellar year for the SOO Greyhounds of the OHL. Two years post-draft, you could see the major improvements the fast center had made as he was a key part of the Greyhounds and even played one game for Team USA at the World Juniors before it was shut down by Covid-19. Unfortunately, his season was cut short as he suffered a broken right femur in late January. He was skating without contact in May but never returned to the Greyhounds lineup. It remains to be seen if he will be able to resume play with Team USA at this summer’s rescheduled World Junior tournament. Hopefully, he’s able to fully recover and can get back to his level of play next season. He can play in either the AHL or go back to the OHL for one more year as an overaged player. Where he plays will likely depend on how the organization feels the injury affected him and if one more season in the OHL would be more beneficial. Gordon Munro
October 2020 – Dickinson was drafted 119th overall in the 2020 draft by the St. Louis Blues. He is expected to spend the next two years in the OHL before turning pro. Lou Farah
