Ryan Shea

October 2020 – Back in August, Shea signed a two-year ELC with the Dallas Stars as he did not sign with Chicago once his time at college ended. Pat Quinn

June 2020- Everyone loves a winner and Shea is just that. He captained the Northeastern Huskies to their third Beanpot championship in a row, winning the prestigious tournament three out of the four years he played college hockey. Keeping with the organizational theme of actively mobile defenders, Shea fits in nicely as a smooth skating defenceman. He also has the unique ability to get an underrated wrist shot through traffic and on the net. Defensively he is smart positionally but still makes some questionable decisions with the puck in his own end. He will also need to add to his 6-1, 176 pound frame if he wants to continue to progress through the system. Expect a couple of seasons in the AHL to put some polish on his considerable skillset but Shea is someone to keep an eye on. Tony Carr
