Fantasy Summary

Potentially a middle-six winger with some clutch goal-scoring ability. Must spend time in minors to improve skating and his shot.

February 2024 – Durandeau was traded to the New Jersey Devils in November in an exchange of players attempting to make the NHL as older prospects. Durandeau could work his way on to the Devils roster next season if all breaks right for him. Pat Quinn

July 2023 – Arnaud Durandeau’s fourth season with Bridgeport was a resounding success. The LW produced career highs in goals, assists, and points in 2022-23. Durandeau is under contract for 2023-24 and will begin the season with Bridgeport but could see time with NYI if there are injuries. He is scheduled to become an RFA next off-season. James Iacovone

June 2022 – The 23-year-old had a goal and an assist in his first six AHL playoff appearances. Mark Allan

March 2022 – Aside from an unsightly minus-15, the 23-year-old LW is recording solid stats with the AHL Islanders. The 6-0, 183-pounder has missed just two of Bridgeport’s 55 games, leading the team in appearances. He’s third with 11 goals, tied for third with 18 helpers and second with 110 shots on goal. He’ll be an RFA after the season. Mark Allan

October 2021 – Durandeau was assigned to the AHL Islanders. In two previous stints in Bridgeport, he had eight points in each campaign, although he did it last season in seven fewer games. Mark Allan

July 2021 – Overcoming a slow start with Bridgeport, he tied for seventh in team scoring with eight points. Each of his six teammates with more points played in at least six more games than his 14 outings. Encouraging. Mark Allan

April 2021 – The 22-year-old isn’t helping his cause with just one goal in six AHL outings. He has one more season on his entry-level contract. He has, however, got his weight up to 183 pounds. Mark Allan

May 2020 – Last seen skating with Bridgeport of the AHL after a 15-game sentence with the ECHL’s Worcester Railers, the former sixth-round pick was having a humdrum pro debut when the pandemic scrapped play. Identical AHL and ECHL totals of five goals and three assists in a combined 36 outings are nothing to write home to Montreal about. The 21-year-old faces a tough slog in the minor leagues before getting a sniff of the big time. Mark Allan

March 2020 – Junior games played and point totals increased each year with Halifax of the QMJHL, culminating in his overage campaign with 38 goals and 35 assists in 68 outings. He maintained his output in the post-season, totaling 17 goals and 20 assists in 38 appearances over three seasons. Ten goals and 10 helpers in 23 games helped the Mooseheads place second in the 2019 playoffs. Based on his final junior campaign, his stock has risen since the Isles chose him in the sixth round, and he received a three-year entry-level contract. As many first-time pros do, he is feeling his way around the minor leagues, posting identical totals of five goals and three assists in 15 games with the ECHL’s Worcester Railers and in 19 appearances with the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He did not record spectacular offensive stats as a junior, and likely will not as a pro either. He does have the potential, however, to be a solid teammate and decent contributor. For that, he will need to take as much time as needed in the minors to refine his skating and improve the release on his shot. Mark Allan
