August 2024 -It was a rather good rookie season at the professional level for Fensore, who posted four goals and 22 assists for 26 points in a combined 48 games for the Chicago Wolves of the AHL and Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL. Fensore proved he was too good for the ECHL as he went over a point per game in the nine games he played for the Admirals. He further exhibited that he has real value as a power play quarterback for the Chicago Wolves as, by the end of the season, Fensore was running the second unit where he added 12 power play assists out of his 14 assists at the AHL level. With his combination of expert level skating and prowess on the power play, Fensore has a legit chance to play NHL games at some point in the future and feature on a power play. Nick Bass

September 2023 – Fensore is an undersized player that finished his career at Boston College and joined the Canes late in the season, but did not get in to an NHL game due to the depth of players on the playoff team. I truly did not know what to expect from Fensore at the prospect showcase tournament. What I got to see was pure talent in all three zones, playing on both the power play and penalty kill. He stood out as the best skater best each time he stepped onto the ice, and his playmaking ability was quite impressive. The issue ahead of him is that the Carolina Hurricanes have nine defenseman that played NHL minutes last year signed, but Fensore easily made a name for himself, setting himself apart from every other prospect defenseman that played for the Canes the weekend of September 16th. April 2023 – Fensore continued to wow the NCAA with his high-level skating skills in his final year at Boston University. He is aggressive, but this usually leads to poor defensive positioning which needs to improve at the next level. Fensore finished this season as one of the top defensemen in Hockey East. J. Brad Johnston

March 2022 – The 20-year-old Fensore is on the smaller side as he is listed at 5 foot 9 and 165 pounds. He is playing well for Boston University in the NCAA, with five goals and 26 assists for 31 points in 35 games. That puts him as the top scorer – all positions, not just defensemen – on the team. He is worth a stash to keep an eye on. Just remember that smaller defensemen usually take longer to reach their potential than average players. Alex Wyatt

February 2021 – Fensore’s sophomore season is off to a strong start, producing at a higher rate than he was as a freshman and ranks third in points by a defecneman. Currently with one goal and five assists in 11-games (0.57 points per game). Austin Broad

February 2020 – The Canes snagged Fensore in the third round and he hasn’t disappointed thus far at Boston University scoring 16 points in 31 games thus far on the blue line for the Terriers. He is super quick and jumps into the play well while maintaining his play on the back end. He will need to continue to get stronger and it might be an uphill battle to secure a roster spot down the line but if anyone can play on the blue line in the league and be productive at 5’7”-5’8″ it is Fensore.
