May 2021 – Fortunato is no longer with the Predators organization. He was traded to the Ottawa Senators at the trade deadline along with a 7th round pick in 2023 for Erik Gudbranson and Adam Vingan. Nicholas Kawka
May 2020 – Fresh off his final NCAA campaign, Fortunato was unable to squeeze out a spot on the blueline of a veteran Milwaukee Admirals group, and so he spent his 2019-20 season playing in the ECHL for the Florida Everblades. He showed well in his first pro season registering 21 points in 48 games as the second leading defensive scorer. The pass first defender continues to work on increasing his shot count and capitalizing on the opportunities he creates off the rush and jumping into the rush as the high man in the slot. Fortunato remains a long-term project in the Nashville pipeline of defencemen. Nicholas Kawka
July 2019 – Fortunato iced his second season in Quinnipac and scored a point-per-game pace registering 28 points in 26GP, good enough for 4th in team scoring. The former Boston University defender has a great first stride and easily eludes forecheckers as he exits the defensive zone. Fortunato is known to lead the rush in the offensive transition and make an effective first pass to open teammates. Fortunato was signed to an ELC by the Predators in the spring and will look to take his game to the next level in Milwaukee. Long-term, Fortunato could find himself as a depth bottom pairing defender in Nashville. Nicholas Kawka
