March 2022 – In his second year as the starter for Clarkson University, Haider had a bit of regression after having his games played jump from 16 to 29. With that jump, Haider’s save percentage dropped from a .921 to a .908, which was tied for 43rd in the NCAA for goaltenders. When he was drafted, he was deemed a long-term project like most goalies tend to be, so expect him to return to Clarkson for a third season. Curtis Rines
June 2021 – Haider kicked off his NCAA career at Clarkson in 2021 and showed well. Through 16 games, he posted stellar numbers with a 0.921 save percentage and seven wins. While still a long-term project, Haider is physically maturing into the mold of most NHL goaltenders. His frame is one of his strongest attributes and his conservative and efficient style lends itself to his ability to take away angles. Haider should continue to marinate in the college ranks for another season or so but continues to show great promise. Nicholas Kawka
February 2020 – Haider is the leading man in net for Sioux City of the USHL this season. He’s been a horse playing in 31 games and been busy backstopping one of the worst teams in the league. Sioux City gives up a ton of shots and scoring chances and Haider has stood tall all season long. He will be a one a done in the USHL and will take his game to Clarkson next season. Nicholas Kawka
December 2019 – In his first USHL season, Haider is making traction. He kicked off the season with an early Goalie of the Week honors in October and was named to Team USA in the World Junior A Challenge. Haider has shown solid consistency seeing losing streaks end quickly at two games and is sporting a quality record of 7-7-3 for a bottom tier team in Sioux City. Haider remains to be a long-term project for Nashville but is tracking well early on since he was drafted in 2019. – Nicholas Kawka
July 2019 – In Haider, the Predators added another potential diamond in the rough backstop to their goaltender prospect pool. At only 17, Haider stands at well over 6 feet and moves incredibly well but tips the scale at over 200 pounds. Much like other big goaltenders in the NHL, Haider plays his angles well and covers significant portions of the net. When he drops down, he continues to hold an upright frame and takes away scoring opportunities upstairs. Haider shows above average lateral post to post quickness and continues to practice over-committing to make a save as he can be found out of position at times. While it will be difficult for Haider to climb his way through the Predators ranks, in time, his combination of size and ability may not be so easy to overlook. Nicholas Kawka
