Nikita Alexandrov

July 2025 – The St. Louis Blues re-signed Alexandrov to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level and $300,000 in the AHL, with a $350,000 guarantee. Alexandrov continues to develop nicely in the American Hockey League with the St.Louis Blues AHL affliate the Springfield Thunderbirds, during the 2024-25 he had 49 points (21 goals and 28 assists) in 48 games with the Thunderbirds, although he did not earn a call-up to the NHL for the first time in three seasons he will be a legitamate contender for a bottom-six role entering the 2025-26 season with the Blues and will look to add to his 51 games of NHL experience (28 in 2022-23 and 23 in 2023-24). Should he earn a permanent role with the Blues during the 2025-26 season, his offensive capability, combined with his physical play, could provide fantasy value. Alexandrov is a player you should have rostered in your dynasty leagues. If he carries minors eligibility, he could offer valuable depth on your fantasy team, especially in a salary cap league. July 2024 – After splitting time between the NHL and the AHL two seasons ago, Alexandrov did not take the next step that some had anticipated this season. Instead, he struggled with multiple injuries and was frequently sent down and recalled from the minors, resulting in a mere 30 games total between the two leagues. In the AHL, Alexandrov played well, scoring seven points in seven games. However, his performance in the NHL was underwhelming, with only two points in 23 games and a disappointing 37% expected goals for. As he approaches 24 years old, there is still time for him to develop, but it’s becoming less likely that he will have a significant impact on the Blues. Cedrick Blais-Turcotte

June 2023 – Alexandrov made his NHL debut last season. He had moderate performance in the 28 games he played for the Blues, having seven points and an expected goal percentage of 50.3%. Some statistics may cause some concern for Alexandrov, most notably a high IPP of 87.5 and an OZ start of 65.2%. Given the amount of change he experienced between the AHL and the NHL as a first-year player, Alexandrov had a successful season. Cedrick Blais-Turcotte 

June 2022 – The skilled center had a pretty good year when all is said and done, and has been stellar in the playoffs. Even though Alexandrov spent the majority of the year in either a bottom-six or middle-six role, he’s been able to show his skill. In 67 games for the Thunderbirds, he scored 12 goals and added 18 assists for 30 points. In the Calder Cup playoffs so far, eight points (two goals, six assists) in 10 games. Next year, with an increase in ice time, he should be able to produce much more frequently. If he can do that, he has a good shot at reaching the NHL in the coming seasons. Gordon Munro.

June 2019 – Alexandrov was St. Louis’ first selection of the 2019 draft. He had a successful season with Charlottetown of the QMJHL, where he recorded 27 goals, 34 assists, and 61 points in 64 regular season games. He would go on to add four goals and three assists in six playoff games. The center combines skill, power, and a keen sense of timing, enabling him to be a successful scorer at the junior level. The biggest knock on Alexandrov is his skating; his stride is a bit chunky, but he manages to gain decent speed regardless. Expect to see him in the QMJHL again next season (his third), as he will try to break the point-per-game mark he got so close to last season. Sam Stern
