June 2019 – Lakatos did not receive an entry level contract from the Rangers which means he becomes a free agent. Jokke Nevalainen
March 2019 – Lakotos’ production remained stagnant in the Czech league through his 21-year-old campaign. Despite the relatively disappointing stat line, the 2017 draft-pick remains in the peripherals of the Ranger’s depth. A major step in his development would be transitioning to the AHL, and getting his foot in the door with the rest of the organizations depth. His offensive ceiling is moderate, but could become an effective player by applying his strength and grit in the North American leagues, making him a prospect to remember in deep multi-category leagues. Brayden Olafson
September 2018 – Selected in the 2017 draft as an over-aged player out of the Czech league, Lakotos regressed offensively as a 20-year-old, and struggled with consistency. Development will play a key role in whether or not this former sixth-round pick is capable of reaching his ceiling that is a bottom-line grinder in the NHL. His tenacious instinct in the offensive zone would be a selling point for some coaches, but he’ll have to become a more reliable contributor in the pipeline first. Brayden Olafson
