October 2021 – Sissons has signed with HC Vita Hästen in the Allsvenskan league. Dave Hall
March 2020 – Sissons finished the year in Adirondack which was beneficial. He had five more points in eight games as a minor injury slowed things a bit for the defenseman. Sissons expects to challenge for a spot in Binghamton next season. Chris Wassel
January 2020 – Sissons took a step back and was sent down to Adirondack (ECHL) after just two games with Binghamton. He does have 25 points in 40 games with Adirondack so the defenseman may see some time back in Binghamton before season’s end. Chris Wassel
April 2019 – Sissons finished up his first season in Binghamton playing a total of 38 games. He tallied just 11 points and played fairly well in his final four games of the season. Expect to hear a bit more from him next season. Chris Wassel
March 2019 – Sissons turned pro as he transitioned from Swift Current to the New Jersey Devils’ organization. His 2017-18 breakout season saw him score 71 points in 72 games and then 23 points in 26 playoff contests. He signed a three-year deal starting in the 2018-19 season. Sissons accumulated ten points in 34 games before being sent to Stockton of the ECHL for a bit more ice time. He was recalled on March 13th due to all the call-ups from Binghamton to New Jersey. Sissons likely will stay with Binghamton for the rest of the season. The 21-year-old still has much to work on including the power play and some aspects of his defense — particularly puck pursuit in the corners and near the net. Chris Wassel
May 2017 – Sissons excelled in the WHL postseason with four goals and two assists during Swift Current’s 14-game run, featuring two tightly-contested seven-game series against Moose Jaw and Regina. His biggest moment came with a game-winning OT goal in Game Three against the Pats to give the Broncos a fleeting 2-1 series lead. Expect another year of increased development in Swift Current before he enters the Devils’ system. Kevin Wickersham March 2017 – Rounding out a positive campaign, the growing 19-year-old blueliner continues to impress with six goals, 22 assists, and a plus-11 rating in 63 WHL Swift Current contests. After thinning out their defensemen pipeline with the recent trades of Reece Scarlett and Brandon Gormley, and with Damon Severson a restricted free agent at season’s end, Sissons may find favorable opportunities upcoming in the Devils’ system. Kevin Wickersham December 2016 – Sissons has progressed considerably over the past year, rapidly moving from an unranked and largely unheard-of prospect to acing a training camp tryout with the Devils, which he parlayed into a three-year entry-level deal. In this, his third campaign with the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos, Sissons continues to impress with further development as a skater, a growing ability to cover and defend large patches of ice well, increased display of effective defensive positioning, and skillful quarterbacking of the power play. Sissons’ scoring has increased over last year, with four goals and 12 assists in 29 games thus far, compared to three goals and 19 assists in 71 games in 2015-16. His lanky frame has filled out some, which is critical as his listed 6-2 185 pounds read as thin for a potentially effective two-way defenseman who will need to punish opponents to raise his ceiling. Kevin Wickersham
