Fantasy Summary

Not much of a fantasy option at this point and should be considered a longshot to play in the NHL.

After turning heads at the Edmonton Oilers’ training camp in 2015, Christoffer has failed to make an impact in the AHL for the Bakersfield Condors. Last season he recorded just six goals and 15 points in 63 games. Christoffer just completed his final season of his contract with the Oilers and was set to become a RFA until he signed a one-year contract with the Bakersfield Condors. Jameson Ewasiuk

October 2017- After being an invite to the 2015-16 rookie development camp, the small winger showed well and earned himself a contract. The 2015-16 was a rough one only putting up five points in 33 games for the Condors. He then got sent down to the ECHL where he put up 13 goals and five assists in 24 games. But, in the 2016-17 season he was a regular fourth liner for the Condors playing in 49 games. So far in the 2017-18 season the shifty winger has only played in one game and has nothing on the score sheet. Spencer Pomoty

September 2015 – As a walk-on tryout to the Oilers this fall after signing a minor league deal with the organization, Braden Christoffer has been turning heads in training camp. After scoring three goals in three games at the young stars tournament in Penticton, BC, Christoffer has found his way onto the fourth line in the Oilers third pre-season tilt against Winnipeg. Playing the previous three seasons with the Regina Pats of the WHL, Christoffer went undrafted despite putting up decent offensive numbers and a massive amount of penalty minutes. His three year total as a member of the Pats (where he served as both an assistant captain and interim captain) was 50 goals, 114 points and a staggering 368 penalty minutes in 202 games played. Christoffer clearly displays the work ethic and physicality to one day crack an NHL lineup but that still seems to be a distant dream at the moment despite the impressive training camp thus far. He will most likely end up on Bakersfield in a bottom-6 role or play a significant role with Norfolk of the ECHL for his first professional season. Tyler Thomson
