Fantasy Summary
Desrosiers needs to improve his high-blocker and glove positioning. His play is not trending the right way.

April 2020 – Playing for the Springfield Thunderbirds, Desrosiers currently projects as a fringe AHLer meaning fantasy owners may want to look elsewhere. Keith Fries
July 2019 – Desrosiers has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Panthers. Jokke Nevalainen
June 2019 – Desrosiers did not get a qualifying offer from the Stars which means he becomes an unrestricted free agent. Jokke Nevalainen
July 2017 – Desrosiers began the season with the AHL affiliate Texas Stars, but ended up playing only eight games. He was loaned to the Norfolk Admirals in the ECHL, and played 20 games for them with mixed results. The Stars had high hopes for their former second-round pick, but things don’t seem to be trending in the right direction. He posted a 3.74 GAA in Norfolk, which could not have impressed Dallas GM Jim Nill. He’ll presumably report to Texas again this fall. As far as fantasy options, it’s hard to imagine Desrosiers in the Dallas Stars’ future plans. With Jake Oettinger looming, I’d look elsewhere. Matt Kowalski
June 2014 – After being drafted by the Dallas Stars in the summer of 2013, Desrosiers returned to Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL. This past season, playing in 52 games, he put up good numbers (2.65 GAA and .907 SV%) and finished the season with an impressive 31-14-7 record. He elevated his game into the playoffs, where he boasted a 7-2-1 record in his 11 starts. He stopped over 91% of the shots that came his way and maintained a 2.34 GAA. Unfortunately, after sweeping the first round with against Chicoutimi, they fell to Blainville-Boisbriand in seven games. It’s still far too early to tell where Desrosiers will end up. At only 18 years old, he possesses certain skills that bode well for his future. He’s a very confident and aggressive butterfly goaltender. He controls rebounds very well for his age and often has the foresight to direct the puck into a specific direction. Chris Bagwell
