June 2019 – Pollock did not get a qualifying offer from the Flames which means he becomes an unrestricted free agent.  Jokke Nevalainen

Oct 2018 – This was a very promising summer for Pollock. He was one of the older, but more dominant players in rookie camp and continued to have moments during training camp. He will once again look to improve for Stockton. Calgary signed some vets but Pollock most likely begins as the Heat’s second line C. – Joel Henderson

Apr 2018 – Pollock was another slow starter but surprisingly stepped up when Stockton’s depth became depleted. Overall, he made improvements in all areas on the ice and gained coaches trust wth ice time. If the former Star can continue to gain trust, he could challenge for a call up later on in 2018-19.  – Joel Henderson

Sept 2017 – When people discuss Pollock at this point, it’s not with “huge upside” or “crazy potential”. They use words like, “great teammate” and “made solid strides” to describe his year in the ECHL. He did indeed have a tough adjustment to Pro and he did indeed get better in most areas, but he will have to accelerate that if he’s going to have a chance to break into the NHL. He should be on the very fringe of your fantasy radar and nothing more at this point. – Joel Henderson

Oct 2016 – Pollock was assigned to Stockton in the second wave of cuts. There are a few forward prospects knocking on the door and Pollock is currently not one of them. This is understandable and completely fine. He has work to do and he will be most likely moved around the AHL lineup. – Joel Henderson

April 2016 – Brett grabbed his first pro goal and point in his second game with Stockton. He finished with over a PPG for the first time in his WHL career but he still has issues not using his big body in the physical way people would. Expect seasons of adjustments for Pollock. He will most likely move up and down the lineup for Stockton. – Joel Henderson

March 2016 – Brett Pollock has been traded to the Calgary Flames as part of the Kris Russell deal. He’s having a great year leading the Oil Kings in assists, points and plus-minus. Brad Phillips

September 2015 – After a short stint in training camp, Brett Pollock has been sent back to the Oil Kings for the 15-16 season. Not a big surprise considering the second round pick is just one year removed from being drafted. Look for him to pile up the points this year. Brad Phillips

September 2015 – In his third season with Edmonton, Pollock carried over his strong play from his breakout 2013-14 season to lead the Oil Kings in scoring with 32 goals and 30 assists. He also ranked third on the team with 88 PIM showing a bit of grit. Throughout the course of the season, Pollock strung together multiple extended scoring streaks of nine and seven games, racking up 13 points in each of them. He continued his strong play in the playoffs putting up five points in five games before having his season ended at the hands of the Brandon Wheat Kings. Entering his fourth WHL season, Pollock will be top dog in Edmonton playing on the first line and seeing prime time on the number one PP unit. All signs point to a big year. Brad Phillips

November 2014 – Through 14 games spanning September and October Pollock racked up 6 goals and 6 assists. Currently November has seen Pollock go point-less through two games, the third such stretch for him this season. The 12 points are good for a tie for second most points on the Edmonton Oil Kings roster. Rex Doty

June 2014 – Brett Pollock was selected by the Dallas Stars at 45th overall in the 2nd round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Pollock is a responsible two-way forward who exploded offensively in the Oil Kings’ run to the WHL and CHL Championships, posting 11 goals and eight assists over 20 playoff games. He projects to be a complimentary top-six forward with high potential. Kevin Won 

May 2014 – Edmonton Oil Kings forward Brett Pollock had one of the strongest finishes of any prospect saving his best hockey for down the stretch and through the playoffs, eventually winning both WHL and CHL Memorial Cup Championships. Pollock is a strong possession playing showing strengths in puck protection, the cycle game and overall hockey sense. He unleashes one of the most dangerous shots in the Western league and is just beginning to tap into his upside but don’t underestimate his ability as a playmaker either, his vision and reads are admirable. He has skated at centre and on the wing but he may be better suited as a winger at the next level. With a more focused physical game and added confidence in his offensive skill set, Pollock has the potential to develop into a special forward. Brendan Ross
