September – Signed a one-year deal with EC Salzburg of the Latvian league. Pat Quinn

October 2020 – Lewington signed a one-year one-way $700,000 contract with Nashville as he looks to be a depth option for the Preds. Pat Quinn

March 2018 – Lewington is what he is a stay-at-home defenseman who will fight and hit but can also play. He may not be the fastest but he can keep up in the playand make passes tat are not “on the glass and out” like many of his ilk before him. Lewington may never make the NHL, and if he does it will be in a bottom pairing role, but he is a warrior-type for his team and is respected by teammates. Pat Quinn

July 2017 – Lewington looks like he has a chance to play in the Capitals top six this upcoming season with the two open roster spots. If there was a Capitals prospect that had the same qualities of Karl Alzner, but with more of a mean streak, then the Capitals have that player in Lewington and if he makes the team he could get matched up with an offensive defenseman, like John Carlson. In terms of fantasy Lewington has minimal upside in terms of points but a strong future outlook in the multi-catergory settings. On the other end he may stay in the AHL as Washington already has a slower version or Lewington in Brooks Orpik and be available in another season. Safe to say he should be up and down all year, and if his skating holds up he could be a rare defensive defenseman that can still play in the NHL. Pat Quinn

December 2016 – After starting the beginning of the season in the ECHL Lewington improved his game enough to be brought up to the AHL where he stayed for the rest of the season, and continued into this season where he has essentially become the only healthy defenseman on the Bears. Capitals management has turned around to be quite high on the seventh round selection and he looks as though he could handle the NHL game, but he will not be a player for those in fantasy leagues unless you need cheap hits, blocks and pims. Pat Quinn

April 2016 – Lewington struggled to adjust to his first pro season splitting time between the AHL and ECHL with 32 and 14 games respectively. He managed six points in each league, which is not very impressive, but it is at least a start. Lewington looks to be, at best, a bottom pairing NHL defenseman but his time in junior, where he increased his production every year, shows that there could be more to his game. It will take time to find out just how much is game can grow. Pat Quinn
