Fantasy Summary
Vigneault’s work in the NCAA and AHL show he’s a smart, hardworking power center. His skills may shorten his path to the young CBJ squad.

June 2019 – Vigneault did not get a qualifying offer from the Blue Jackets which means he becomes an unrestricted free agent. Jokke Nevalainen
June 2019 – Vigneault finished 2018-19 with decent numbers. In 61 games with Cleveland (AHL), he posted 20 points. The 23-year-old needs more development and will likely be back with the Monsters to get it. He is an RFA however, so he will also need a new contract. There is currently no fantasy value to be had with Vigneault. Frank Pellegrini
December 2018 – Vigneault is currently playing in his third season with the Cleveland Monsters of the AHL. The Blue Jackets have higher upside options than Vigneault to call-up if needed. Much like last campaign, he is expected to play with the Monsters for this entire season. Frank Pellegrini
March 2018 – Vigneault has continued his soild scoring rate since the turn of the new year, and is up to nine goals and 12 assists in 52 contests, good for sixth in points on the AHL Cleveland squad. Kevin Wickersham
December 2017 – At 6-05, 203-pounds, Vigneault has the size to eventually man the middle for Columbus. His promising two-way game honed during three Clarkson University campaigns has translated well to AHL Cleveland this fall (six goals and six assists in 23 games), as he passed up his final year of NCAA play to turn pro on a two-year entry-level contract. The Quebec native’s Clarkson career may presage future scoring returns with 30 goals and 45 assists in 106 collegiate contests, leading the squad with 36 points in 39 games last year. Praised by coaches for his maturity and strength, both at the NCAA level and in his short experience as a pro, Vigneault has shined particularly as a distributor, but has the chops to employ an increasingly effective inside presence with his powerful frame that should lend to some short-distance, greasy scoring chances.
