Observations:
April 29 – The heavy-set forward was acquired by the Peterborough Petes midway through the OHL season to bolster their depth heading into the post-season. While playing in Niagara, Paquette played primarily on the wing, but upon being acquired by the Petes, shifted to more of a role at center, earning greater responsibility with a faceoff win percentage of 57. The Petes were swept easily by the Mississauga Steelheads in the third round of the OHL playoffs. Paquette was held pointless through the series and finished a minus-2. Brayden Olafson
June 2016- The cousin of Lightning 2012 fourth rounder Cedric Paquette, Christopher was drafted by the same team in the fifth round of the 2016 draft. Paquette is a speedster who didn’t produce much with the Niagara Ice Dogs. Paquette has strong defensive instincts, but needs to play a more agressive and physical game to succeed in a bottom six NHL role. Paquette needs to add on more mass to compete at the professional level.
Fantasy Analysis: D+
Considered a two-way forward, but mainly focuses on his play in his own zone. Work needs to be done with his offensive positioning.
