Observations:
February 2017 – Rask is playing his third consecutive season with the HIFK, in Liiga, Finland. He is 26-years old unrestricted free agent, entering his prime and it is highly unlikely that he will return to North America. Niko Salminen
June 2014 – Rask has agreed to a contract with HIFK Helskinki of SM-Liiga. It is unlikely he will return to North America. Dobber
April 2014 – Rask has a reasonably successful season in Milwaukee as a role player for the squad. He has popped in 14 points in 57 games while earning responsibilities as a core defensive forward. The outlook is rather poor for him fantasy wise as it is unlikely he will ever be notable enough to hit the NHL, let alone your consideration for watching. Jason Banks
December 2012 – Rask hasn't scored a point in last 24 games and his ice time has dropped significantly from the start of the season. His target was to move to North America after one season with Jokerit but it seems quite unlikely to happen if he doesn't improve his game. Miika Arponen
October 2012 – Rask moved from the miserable Ilves to the wealthiest team in SM-liiga, Jokerit, this fall. He has been playing a checking role there which suits his active and hard-working playing style well. He has only nine shots in seven games, but he has however managed to get five points (2G, 3A). Miika Arponen
April 2011 – Younger brother of Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask, Joonas is a versatile forward that can play both center and wing. He is technically very skilled and likes to challenge defenders with his dekes. He has good hockey sense and is at his best on the powerplay. He also has notable leadership capabilities, captaining Finland's national team in both U18 and U20 world championships. His biggest weaknesses are his shot and lack of strength. Rask signed a two year entry level contract with the Predators this spring but will likely play one more season in SM-liiga before moving to North America. Miika Arponen
Fantasy Outlook: D-
There is no reason to expect him to return to North America.
