Observations:

May 2016 – Kevin Czuczman spent the entire 2015-16 season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the AHL, registering four goals and 15 points. He did not earn a call-up despite being one of the last cuts in training camp. Czuczman is a Group VI free agent on July 1, 2016 and may look to move to an organization with less young defensive depth. Brent Craswell

Nov 2015 – Czuczman has spent his entire season so far in the AHL for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers playing in all 14 games. He has three points in those 14 games as he is not quite known for his offense. He does have 18 penalty minutes in those games showing a potential multi-category side to him, but he will likely not be more than an AHL defenseman. Pat Quinn

Oct 2015 – Czuczman was one of the last Islanders cuts as they finalized their roster. He will be looking to stick in the AHL full time this year and should be seen as nothing more than a depth defenseman for the Isles until further notice. Pat Quinn

Sept 2015 – Czuczman was fine in his role last year, but he did not stand out in any way. He played 50 games for the Sound Tigers registering seven points, and when he was send down to the ECHL’s Florida Everblades he had a single goal in nine games. Last year was his first full year in the pros, and he could still develop, but he looks to be more of a bottom pairing NHLer or career AHLer. Pat Quinn

June 2014 – Czuczman had two assists in 13 NHL games to close the 2013-14 season. He was a minus-5 but showed flashes of a future solid option for the Isles. He will be in the running for a spot on the big club in camp but my gut says he will spend time in the AHL at some point this coming season. He's looking good but isn't quite there just yet. Brad Wilson

March 2014 – The Islanders have signed UFA defenseman, Kevin Czuczman (pronounced CHURCH-MAN) to a two-year entry level contract. The 23-year-old will report to the Islanders right off the hop but expect some AHL seasoning in his very near future. Czuczman had a career year for Lake Superior State University this season notching 21 points including 10 goals in 36 games. He received most-valuable defenseman honors for LSSU in 2012-13 and was also dubbed Outstanding Freshman in 2011-12. Watch for the big man to work his way into an eventual second pairing role with the Isles. “The culture that is starting to develop and the opportunity to be a part of something special with a new wave of players coming up is something that’s too good to pass up on. It’s definitely going in the right direction and I want to be a part of it." – Czuczman. Brad Wilson

Fantasy Outlook: C-

Czuczman has improved marginally in each of his two pro seasons to date. There is no reason to write him off quite yet, especially if he lands in a better spot this July.
