Observations:
January 2016 – The Blues' third-round selection in the 2009 draft has spent this season playing in Russia’s KHL, where he returned after a couple of seasons in the AHL. At 26 years of age, and some very modest seasons in KHL (12 points last year, and 11 this year) it looks like Andronov will not play in the NHL. –Matt Kowalski
October 2014 – Andronov will spend the 2014-15 campaign in the KHL. With the depth currently in St. Louis and the emergence of some forward prospects including 18-year-old Robby Fabbri, Andronov's NHL hopes are all but gone. Eric Daoust
January 2014 – Andronov is a big, skilled winger that skates very well. Unfortunately, despite these attributes he has not been much of a factor on the score sheet during his two years in the AHL. Andronov's lack of physical play and intelligent play away from the puck makes him less ideal as a depth forward option while he gets his feet wet in the NHL. The good news is that due to a lack of prospect depth in the Blues' organization, he has fewer obstacles in front of him than most prospects. If he can put it together quickly he could surprise and ride an opportunity to a full-time NHL gig. The odds against him though. Eric Daoust
Fantasy Outlook: C-
Has the tools to be a decent NHLer but may not have what it takes to stick. He is a KHL risk as well.
