July 2022 – Juulsen has earned a new two-way contract with the Vancouver Canucks. He continues to border the club as a top-minute AHL’er and a third-pairing call-up option in the show. The single fact that he plays on the right side gives him a strong edge within the organization. Dave Hall

October 2021 – Juulsen, a former first-round pick (2015), has been dealt to the Vancouver Canucks. The Surrey native returns to his home province, and being a right-shot defender should instantly push him high-up amongst the club’s depth chart. Standing 6-foot-2, 201-pounds, he is a sturdy two-way defender. Due to various injuries, he has seen just 100 games since transitioning into the pro circuit in 2017-18 and has yet to live up to his initial hype. The club will look to resurrect some of the potential displayed during his Junior days in Everett and turn his career back on track. Dave Hall

July 2020 – Noah Juulsen was apart of the 33-man training camp roster that the Canadiens released on July 12th. Juulsen will not likely play but still get valuable experience from practicing with a team in a playoff series. Pablo Ruiz

March 2020 – After missing most of last year with a facial fracture last season Juulsen has only played in 12 games for Laval in the 2019-2020 season. The steady defensive defenseman’s last game was on November 29th. He has started practicing again with a full-contact jersey and could get back into games before the end of the season.  Pablo Ruiz

June 2019 – After earning what looked to be a full-time spot with the big club, Juulsen suffered a season ending eye injury. Unfortunately, this has been the narrative for the 2015 first-round selection for the last few campaigns. Juulsen took two pucks to his cheek in November during the same game against the Washington Capitals. He tried to return from the injury, he was subsequently shut down for the year due to peripheral vision issues. Provided he arrives at training camp fully recovered, it is believed a regular roster spot will be his to lose. Draft him in deep keeper leagues and look for him at good value on the waiver wire in your daily fantasy formats. Jesse Sherman

October 2018 – Juulsen is becoming a regular NHL player. There is no reason to think the 2015 first round pick (25th) will be demoted any time soon as his defensive play has strongly improved over the past 24 months. His offensive play will never make him an undisputed player on every fantasy hockey rosters, but he sure knows how to deliver hits and blocking shots. His eight-game sample so far in 2018-2019, the 6-2 defender is on pace for 260 hits and 160 blocks, which is not to be taken lightly in leagues who counts those stats. Carl Sinclair

February 2018 – The Canadiens have recalled Noah Juulsen from Laval in wake of Shea Weber being shut down for the season and Jakub Jerabek being traded to the Washington Capitals over the last few games. Juulsen has rebounded nicely from an early-season injury, but he isn’t a big offensive producer so don’t expect many returns just yet. With the aforementioned news and Montreal jockeying for prime draft position, Juulsen’s recall was no surprise. Management will take a closer look at a prime candidate to occupy a regular spot on defense in 2018-19 as this season winds down. Mike Barrett

October 2016 – Noah Juulsen was named captain of the Everett Silvertips in what will likely be his final junior season. The two-way defenseman will look to bring his scoring back to the level it was in his draft year, while combining the work-ethic and leadership he developed a season ago. Juulsen looks primed for a big season, and should be among the top defenseman in the WHL. The Canadiens will be watching closely, as will Team Canada reps as the WJC’s inch closer and closer. Mike Barrett

June 2015 – The Montreal Canadiens selected smart defenseman Noah Juulsen with the 26th overall pick of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Brendan Ross

June 2015 – One of the draft’s potential quiet star defensemen, Noah Juulsen is a highly intelligent, low-maintenance and efficient defender capable of playing a strong two-way game. First and foremost, Juulsen is an extremely mobile blue liner who executes precise outlet passes and shows a good ability to keep plays alive at the offensive line. Despite not being an ideal sized defender, Juulsen chips in on the physical end and makes some dazzling open ice hits. He’s very poised in possession and his calming demeanour radiates throughout the lineup. Overall, Juulsen’s competitive and hard-working approach will make him a potential opening round selection. Brendan Ross
