October 2017 – Not exactly the start to the season that Lodge was hoping for as the Manitoba Moose relegated him to Jacksonville in the ECHL. The writing may have been on the wall for the 22-year-old after finishing with just 18 points in 63 games last season with the Moose. It would appear that Lodge’s days with the organization might be numbered soon as his entry level contract expires at the end of the season. – Jamie Zadow

July 2017 – Lodge finished with another lacklustre performance in the AHL this season — eight goals and 18 points in 63 games. The Jets were hopeful the 22-year-old winger would show flashes of his scoring touch from his OHL days, but it was a definite step back in Lodge’s progression. – Jamie Zadow

October 2016 – The Winnipeg Jets sent Lodge to their AHL affiliate Manitoba Moose to start the season. – David Dickenson

The tall lanky pivot got a bit of a rude awakening as a first year pro in 2015-16, where he managed six points in 44 AHL game, while also seeing some time in the ECHL. This season he’s slated to spend the season with the Manitoba Moose and hopes are he will be able to bounce back from a shaky first pro season. He’s shown the ability to score and contribute in junior, but may lack some of the high-end skill set to continue in the pro game. – David Dickenson

September 2014 – Jimmy Lodge has been sent back to the Saginaw Spirit by the Winnipeg Jets. He will be helping out a rebuilding Spirit team and will be leaned on as a leader after spending almost three full seasons with them.

April 2014 – It was a solid campaign for Lodge, earning 46 points (19 goals and 27 assists) in 59 games. There was a bit of concern on, as he suffered a concussion and was not producing as well. Those days appear to be behind him and he will look towards next season and improving his point totals.

September, 2013 – Jimmy Lodge has been sent back to the Saginaw Spirit by the Jets for the upcoming season. Expect the undersized centerman to improve on his numbers from last year. Although ranked #22 out of North American players by Central Scouting, teams might have passed on him due to his lack of strength. He will also have to focus more on his defence but his raw talent is intriguing for fantasy owners looking for a prospect sleeper. –Kevin Won

June 2013 –American born lanky pivot, Jimmy Lodge, ramped up his play as his draft season unfolded, notably after the OHL trade deadline when he began to earn more icetime. Lodge is a playmaking centre with good vision, a long reach and creative passing skills making him extremely dangerous inside the offensive zone. He skates at 6-foot-2 but he is extremely lean putting an importance on bulking up over the next few years. At this point in his development, Lodge is an extremely raw prospect and that appeals to many teams considering his already gifted offensively skilled package. In 64 games with the Saginaw Spirit, Lodge posted 28 goals and 67 points. Entering the 2013 NHL draft, Jimmy Lodge is a potential first round prospect but more likely will fall to the middle of the second round. Brendan Ross
