Samuel Carrier, D

Shoots: R

Drafted: 2010 by Washington, 176th overall

Observations:

July 2012 – The Caps decided not to sign Carrier before the draft. He then went unselected in the draft. QMJHL players have a tendency of inflated offensive numbers so you need to be careful when drafting for fantasy based on statistics, especially with defensemen. Carrier’s next step is likely a camp tryout to be seen and then work his way up starting in the ECHL.  Jason Banks

April, 2012- Carrier had another strong offensive season, putting up 43 points in 53 games and currently has seven points in seven playoff games. He has a booming shot from the point and plays an aggressive style. He was a late round pick and is viewed as a long-term project.

Fantasy Outlook: C-

Long term prospect that’s years away. Potential power play quarterback.
