Fantasy Summary

Raw, physical defenseman with range and mobility. Can close gaps well in transition, and plays aggressively. Decision-making needs to improve to unlock second-pair upside.

June 2024 – Skahan was drafted at the end of round two, 65th overall, by Utah. Pat Quinn

November 2023: A rangy monster of a defenseman with solid gap control and an aggressive mindset in his own zone, Skahan loves to punish opponents physically. The decision-making, however, keeps him out of our first round for the moment. Rushed passes, wrongly-calculated risky pinches at both ends of the ice, and a tendency to accumulate turnovers are issues that we’ll continue to monitor as the draft year rolls on. Hadi Kalakeche
(November rankings: Honourable Mention)
