Cole O’Hara

April 2025 – The Nashville Predators signed O’Hara to a two-year, entry-level contract that will begin in the 2025-26 season. O’Hara completed his junior season of NCAA hockey as the University of Massachusetts-Amherst Minutemen lost to Western Michigan in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. O’Hara was nominated for the Hobey Baker Award, was a finalist for Hockey East Player of the Year, and earned a spot on the Hockey East First All-Star Team in 2024-25. In 40 games this season, he had 51 points (22 goals and 29 assists), which were all career highs, and led the Minutemen in each category; he is also tied for sixth among all NCAA skaters in points. July 2022 – O’Hara has been selected by the Nashville Predators with the 114th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.

O’Hara had a prolific year with the Tri-City Storm of the USHL, with 25 goals and 73 points in 58 contests. He is a late-bloomer prospect as, in his draft year, he was still playing in the OJHL. Moving on to the NCAA this upcoming season, expect him to last there for at least three seasons. O’Hara has a long development path but has the raw tools to be a playmaking winger at the NHL level.
