April 2020 – The frustrating trend continued for Green this season as he suffered an upper-body injury in early December that kept him out of the Moose lineup for the second half of the season. He’s still just 22, but the onslaught of injuries have to be a concern early on his career. Jamie Zadow
March 2019 – Green continues to work his way back from a concussion, appearing in a yellow non-contact jersey during practice this week. The Moose are hopeful he will return to the lineup and participate in some games before the end of the season, but it could still be a longshot. Jamie Zadow
January 2019 – Injuries continue to play a huge part in Green’s development as he has been sidelined since early December with a concussion. The young defenseman cannot catch a break as he has appeared in just 11 games this season with the Moose. Jamie Zadow
May 2018 – Green was robbed of much of his 2017-18 QMJHL campaign after dislocating his shoulder at Jets camp in September. The 20-year-old missed nearly five months following surgery and played just 14 games for the Sherbrooke Phoenix. Now an over-ager, it’s expected that Green will start the year in the AHL with the Moose after signing a three-year entry level contract. Green is a very shifty skater and his high mobility makes him an offensive threat on each shift. His strong puck skills and ability to move the puck up the ice quickly should translate well at the NHL level one day. Jamie Zadow
November 2017 – Green has yet to hit the ice for the Sherbrooke Phoenix this season after suffering a dislocated shoulder in Jets training camp. Despite requiring surgery and being scheduled to miss 4-5 months, the 19-year-old was signed to an entry level contract by the Jets. Green looks to be on track to rejoin his QMJHL squad in the New Year — of course barring any setbacks in his rehab. Jamie Zadow
January 2017 – Green has been a fast riser this season in the Jets organization, the former first overall pick in the QMJHL draft, was traded to the Sherbrooke Phoenix, where he’s averaged more than a point per game since the trade. The young blueliner is very offensively gifted and is very good off the rush to make smart plays in traffic. He is reliable on the defensive end, but it’s his offensive abilities which will dictate whether he has a future in the pro game. He’s very smart and will only learn to better apply his skill to become a future offensive defensemen in the NHL. Jamie Zadow
