June 2023 – The Blackhawks prospect has decided he is not going to sign with the NHL this upcoming season as yet and has instead signed a one year deal with the Lokomotiv of the KHL at which point he will weigh his options. Puneet Sharma
June 2022 – The Chicago Blackhawks inked Artur Kayumov to a one year ELC in April 2022. He is currently expected to remain in Russia with the Lokomotiv for another year for further development. During the 2021-2022 season Kayumov posted 10 goals and 19 assists over a 42 game span. Kayumov was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2016 as part of trade where they also received a 2017 third round pick and selected Evan Barratt. The departing players as part of that transaction were Teuvo Teravainen and Bryan Bickell to the Hurricanes. Puneet Sharma
October 2020- you can follow Kayumov as his season has started with Lokomotiv in the KHL. He is already off to a very good start, putting up nearly a point per game. Having a player of his skill level getting closer to being NHL ready makes the Blackhawks system that much deeper. Tony Carr
December 2018 – Kayumov has been suspended for 13 games following an illegal check to the head of an opponent and “accidentally” punching an official in the resulting scrum. Kayumov was having a decent season with Lokomotiv of the KHL. It will be interesting to see how he reacts when he returns to the lineup. Tony Carr
December 2017- Kayumov will be representing team Russia at the IIHF World Junior Championships. This is good news for fans of the Hawks second round pick in 2016, as he suffered through a broken collarbone in October, forcing him to miss the CIBC Super Series against CHL all star teams. This injury has since fully healed, allowing him to participate in the tournament. Possessing the ability to both finish and create plays, Kayumov will be one to watch for the offensively gifted Russians. Tony Carr
