Observations:

 

July 2012 – Anaheim recently chose not to tender Schofield a qualifying offer, thus making him a free agent. A week later Rochester signed him as a depth player at the AHL level. Will need to mix some offence with his defensive prowess to become a good two way player in order to move back on to NHL radar.  Jason Banks

 

 

March 2012 – Schofield signed with the Ducks club after completing his four-year career at LSSU (CCHA). He went undrafted and produced decent numbers while in the NCAA ranks. He is currently in his first full year in the pros with Syracuse (AHL). Originally the thought on Schofield was that he would gain some offensive upside, but his play has been limited to a defensive role.

 

Fantasy Outlook: C+

Schofield is an energy defensive minded player that will not be heavy on the offensive categories.
