January 2021 – The free-agent signing will get his first taste of pro hockey in the AHL following his assignment to Wilkes-Barrie. Kyle Watson

August 2020 – Maniscalco signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Penguins. He just completed his sophomore year with Arizona State University. This season he had quite the resume, being noted as only one of 10 defensemen in the NCAA to record 30+ points. He also ended up finishing the season tied for sixth nationally with 32 points.
