Can fill in on an NHL scoring line, but all too often is not the first choice to do so. Earmarked to be a career AHLer

May 2020 – After a lengthy stint with Nashville to close out the 2019 season, Gaudreau could not crack the lineup in 2019-20 and skated with Milwaukee in the AHL. His abrasive style and hard-nosed play fit the Admirals roster perfectly and he chipped in with 11 goals and 28 points over 42 games. It appeared that Gaudreau made an impression in Nashville at the end of last season, but the 27-year old did not see any time this season. As it stands now, his value appears to be limited as solely a depth player in the organization and as he quickly approaches free agency this summer, his time with Nashville remains uncertain. July 2019 – Gaudreau played a steady role working in the bottom-six for the Preds in 2018-19. Known as a consistent producer and scoring threat in Milwaukee, Gaudreau has yet to be given that opportunity in Nashville. He has made the best use of his outside speed and agility as working the cycle and forecheck on the 4th line on most occasions. Look for Gaudreau to play a few minutes with the big club and be locked into a limited role. Nicholas Kawka
May 2017 – During the 2015-2016 season, Gaudreau broke through to the Milwaukee Admirals line-up. 42 points in 75 games. This season he has continued on that pace, recording 48 points in 66 games with the Admirals, also he got his cup of coffee in the NHL. Nine games in the regular season and so far, three games in the playoffs due to the injury Ryan Johansen sustained in the series against the Ducks.
If he gets to play with the Predators next season, I would expect him to pace somewhere around 24 points during the full 82 games. Niko Salminen
