Observations

October 2019 – Dach has been recalled from his conditioning stint in Rockford. After suffering a preseason injury during the rookie tournament, Dach has been rehabbing himself in anticipation for his NHL debut. The expectation is that this will happen over the course of the next couple of Blackhawks games. The third-overall pick from the 2019 draft was hoping to stick in the NHL but unless he produces some massive offence, he will be limited to 10 or fewer games and sent back to Saskatoon of the WHL. Tony Carr

June 2019 – Dach has been drafted third overall by the Blackhawks.  Jokke Nevalainen

June 2019 – After a mid-season injury slowed his production, Dach came on in a big way down the stretch and into the playoffs. The massive pivot can stand to play with more pace at times and can get caught with his head down, but his upside is tremendous. He’s a not-so-dark horse to hear his name called in the top-five this June. Cam Robinson

June 2019 – Dach was officially measured at 6-foot-4 and 198 pounds at the NHL Draft Combine.  Jokke Nevalainen

November 2018 – The towering centre is making good on the investment that Saskatoon made when they selected him second overall in 2016 WHL Bantam draft. He leads his team and all-draft-eligible WHL players in scoring with 11 goals and 34 points in 21 contests. Dach loves to create offense off the half-wall on the power play and slows things down at even-strength to weigh his options. He owns slick hands, a heavy release and great vision.

Dach led all WHL rookies in assists last season with 39 and has a Hlinka gold medal somewhere in his parents home. A cerebral pivot with massive upside, Dach won’t be waiting long to hear his name called at the draft next June. Cam Robinson
