Observations:

November 2015 – Signed with the HPK Hameenlinna of the Liiga (Finland). Dobber

October 2014 – Holland has been traded to the Winnipeg Jets. Eric Daoust

October 2012 – Holland has been called up to Montreal and will make his NHL debut on October 23. His promotion came as a result of injuries up front but the fact that he is receiving this opportunity instead of Gabriel Dumont or Louis Leblanc speaks to Holland's current rank in the organization. Eric Daoust

May 2012 – Holland finished his first pro season with 10 goals and 28 points in 69 games. This is not a great total but it was just three points shy of the team lead. He did improve down the stretch, especially in March when he obtained nine points in 11 contests. Next year will be important as he will battle with Gabriel Dumont, Michael Bournival and Louis Leblanc for call-up priority. Eric Daoust

December 2012 – He is showing a warning sign of inconsistency early in his pro career. Holland started the season with five points in eight games, posting a shot in each contest, then went nine more with nothing while being held shot-less four times. He is struggling to find a role he can fit into with the team, which may be a reason for the streaky play. If he can retain the play that he started the season with, he could end up the team’s top rookie. He currently has a minus-seven rating, but on an offensively challenged team it does not raise too many red flags. Jason Banks

January 2012 – Holland has been an integral piece to the Tri-City Americans strong season so far. After the month of January, Holland has put up 20 goals and 47 assists. Holland is a two-way forward that plays hard, and is equally effective at both ends of the rink. Look for his point totals to rise steadily, as the Americans look to lock up the top spot in the WHL’s Western Conference.

Patrick Holland was traded along with Rene Bourque and a 2013 2nd Round Draft Pick to the Montreal Canadiens for Michael Cammalleri, Kari Ramo, and a 2012 5th Round Draft Pick.

Fantasy Outlook: D

Holland doesn’t have a spectacular skillset but might be able to land a roster spot on the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL) in 2012-13. He will need at least a few years of AHL seasoning before he gets a sniff of the NHL game.
