Observations:

April 2018 – Lukas Elvenes has been flying under the radar as far as most prospects are concerned, but he’s a player you should start taking notice of.  Elvenes began the season on loan to IK Oskarshamn of the Swedish Allsvenskan and was sitting third in league scoring before Rogle BK (SHL) recalled him where he remained for the rest of the 2017-18 season. While with Rogle, Elvenes displayed his excellent skating ability, evasiveness in the offensive zone and playmaker’s touch to post 16 points in 28 games; good for second place in points-per-game on a team that struggled to find the back of the net, and finished 11th of 14 teams and thus did not make the playoffs. Elvenes still has one year remaining on his contract in the SHL, and considering he was only a couple of weeks removed from being eligible in this year’s draft, he has increased his stock exponentially despite not being a household name. That may change by the end of next year. Mason Black

November 2017 – Lukas Elvenes is putting up a remarkable, yet under-the-radar season. Perhaps it’s because he’s playing for little known IK Oskarshamn, or that he was a 5th round pick for Vegas as one of the youngest players in the draft, but he’s currently leading his team in scoring as an 18 year old. With 21 points in 21 games he is tied for third in Allsvenskan scoring, and Elvenes is currently playing at a point per game pace in his draft-plus one year, which is a feat that has not been accomplished since Patrik Berglund in 2006-07.   Mason Black

Fantasy Outlook: B

Elvenes is a creative puck-handler with above average passing ability and a quick release. He projects as a middle-six forward.
