Observations:

September 2017- During the 2016-17 season, Khaira really took a big step forward. The powerful winger improved in almost every area. Khaira only managed to suit up for 10 NHL games due to injuries but he showed his worth in those games. The winger from Surrey, BC is expected to earn a full-time roster spot for this upcoming season and also play significant minutes on the penalty kill. Spencer Pomoty

October 2016: Jujhar Khaira has played only three of the five Condors games but is leading the squad with five points. Khaira has professional size and is a good skater with decent offensive abilities. While he is a top center for the Condors, his game likely better translates to a bottom-six role at the NHL level. Like many players, his game will be different at the NHL level. His offensive skills work in Bakersfield, but a simplified, north and south game is what Khaira will likely bring to the Edmonton Oilers. His size and good hands in close, and playing center help him be a net-front presence at any level. Khaira skated with Edmonton for 15 games last season and is likely to be the first option should the Oilers need help from the farm. Zachary Devine

November 2015 – Khaira has been recalled to the Oilers for the very first time in his young career. After the injury to Nail Yakupov, the Oil were once again strapped for bodies up front and Khaira (seven points in 16 games with Bakersfield) has gotten the chance. Khaira will add some size to the forward core and could potentially see some third line action. While his time with the big club will most likely be short, if he can impress it would be worth keeping an eye on to sccop him up in deeper leagues. His net front presence could make him a second-unit powerplay option. Tyler Thomson

May 2015 – Khaira dressed for the Barons in game three against San Antonio, making his AHL playoff debut and scoring the series clinching goal in overtime to sweep the Rampage. It could not have been a better scenario for the 20-year-old and the performance will surely give him a much needed confidence boost as well as more playing time for the remainder of the Calder Cup playoffs. Tyler Thomson

February 2015 – In his first full professional season with Oklahoma City, Khaira has been limited to a bottom-6 role. On a Barons squad that still sits in first place, the sheltered ice-time and experience is extremely valuable. While only scoring twice this year in 40 games, Khaira's grittiness has led to 43 penalty minutes. If the Barons can make a deep playoff run it could prove invaluable for refining his two-way game and improving his confidence. Tyler Thomson

September 2013 – After a season of playing for Michigan Tech (NCAA) where Jujhar Khair netted six goals and 25 points in 37 games, the Oilers 2012 3rd round pick has earned a three-year entry level contract with Edmonton after several strong showings during summer camps. Most recently, Khair is attempting to make the Oklahoma City Barons roster after being sent to the AHL affiliate club’s training camp. His big frame, strong board work and evident skill level has caught the eye of the Oilers brass and if he fails to turn professional for the 2013-14 season, look for Khair to make his debut with the Everett Silvertips of the WHL. Brendan Ross

February 2012  – Jujhar Khaira is one of the few highly-touted power forwards slated for an early selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. His unique blend of size, strength and scoring ability make him an intriguing prospect. However, it is difficult to place a lot of significance on his offensive production playing in the BCHL. Playing at a higher level of competition in the NCAA in 2012-13, it will be easier to project just how talented Khaira is. John Canario

Fantasy Outlook: C-

Khaira projects as a big, hard-working winger with strong board skills and will eventually debut as a bottom-six forward.
