Observations:

September 2017 – Caron in 2016-2017 played 52 games with the Chicago Wolves.  Caron scored five goals and had 20 assists.  In 157 NHL games Caron has produced 12 goals and 18 assists.  It seems unlikely the Blues are going to use Caron in the NHL unless there is a rash of injuries to the team.  Doug Abrams

July 2016 – Caron has re-upped with the Blues for another season on a one-year, two-way deal. At this point in his career, he's established himself as an AHLer with the ability to fill in with the big club when needed. Brad Phillips

March 2015 – With his development becoming stagnant in the Bruins organization, Boston traded former 1st round pick Jordan Caron to the Colorado Avalanche for agitator Maxime Talbot. Caron has had a decent fourth campaign in the AHL soring nine goals and 18 points in 23 games. He's split time between the AHL and NHL for the past three seasons and will look to solidify himself with the Avs moving forward. Brendan Ross

September 2014 – This training camp could be Caron's last chance to earn a spot with the Bruins, and so far he has played well. The former first-rounder impressed coach Claude Julien with a two-point performance in an exhibition game against the Capitals. Don't pencil him onto your draft sheet just yet though – his upside for this year is likely a spot on the fourth line and just 20-25 points. – Michael Boeckler

September 2013 – After a disappointing 2012-13 season, Caron hopes to land a spot on the Bruins' third line soon.  Caron spent the summer working out with several NHLers in Quebec City, including teammate Patrice Bergeron.  Though his game has lacked consistency in recent years, he hopes to become a full-time NHLer this season.  Caron is battling for the third-line spot with several players, including Reilly Smith, Ryan Spooner and Carl Soderberg. – Michael Boeckler

June 2013 – It was rough 2013 season for the Bruins’ former first round pick. He found himself bouncing between leagues for much of the season and struggling for production at both levels until he found his stride late in the AHL season. He only popped in three points in 17 games in the NHL in a minimal role, while compiling 18 points in 47 AHL games, but 10 of those points came in his last 12 games. His hot streak continued into the post season with nine point 12 games before being bounced by the Wilkes-Barre Penguins, funny enough he was then recalled for the Bruins-Pens Conference final series. The outlook for Caron is not cheery at this point with the signing of Carl Soderberg late in the season, and the emergence of several other organizational prospects. Time is running out in Boston for Caron to stake his claim on a regular roster spot, but he is still only 22 years old. Jason Banks

March 2012 – Caron is a tremendous power forward with great upside as he has developed a true all-around game already in only two seasons in the pros. He has been promoted many times over this year and last from Providence to Boston, with the latest call up coming a month ago. He has the size, strength, puck possession skills, with shot and great hockey sense to go along with it. If he is going to be productive in NHL, an explosive skating stride would benefit him greatly. – Russ Bitely

Fantasy Outlook: C-

Caron already possesses the total package and is ready for the NHL. But injuries have eroded his skills and long-term potential.
