February 2023 – Ratcliffe has been acquired by the Predators in exchange for future considerations. The former second-round pick has struggled in the AHL this season, with only two goals and four points through 26 games. Curtis Rines

July 2022 – Philadelphia re-signed Ratcliffe to a one-year, two-way contract worth $813K. Playing well in his 10 NHL games last season, Ratcliffe looks to crack a Flyers roster desperate for contributions from some of its younger talent. John Gove

June 2022 – A restricted free agent this summer, Ratcliffe’s high-scoring days with Guelph Storm are now just a distant memory. Although he managed to stay healthy this past season, Ratcliffe played most of the year with the Phantoms while accruing ten games with the Flyers. Although he recorded 28 points in 59 games with Lehigh Valley, it’s clear that Philadelphia views Ratcliffe as more of a big-body forward they can develop into a potential bottom-six fixture, especially if he can consistently demonstrate the physicality he briefly showed with the big club. Likely signing a cost-friendly extension, Ratcliffe’s NHL potential remains without the once-promising offensive upside. John Gove

August 2020 – Which Issac Ratcliffe that we saw this past campaign is the one that Flyers faithful have to look forward to remains to be determined, although he was proving to be much better down the stretch. Once he got accustomed to the grind that comes with professional hockey he ended being a real blasting cap with getting the offense going, particularly with his shot generation. Once he can get better at protecting and carrying the puck, he’ll do a better job getting a longer look in training camp for the coming season. Edric Joseph

December 2019 – Issac Ratcliffe’s premiere season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms has been progressing in the right direction, albeit slowly. While his time in minor professional hockey has not been without it’s charm, his deft touch for someone of his size remains apparent if not one of his stronger suits. He has been harnessing his skating along with his size to get to the net which is an important part of his offensive game here just as it has been in his OHL endeavors. Edric Joseph

May 2019 – After being an invaluable part of Guelph Storm’s OHL Playoff run, Ratcliffe is continuing to rack up points in Memorial Cup play with four points through three games. The Storm continue to surprise and Ratcliffe is no exception. Despite the recent play being a revelation, he is still expected to start next season with Lehigh Valley. Tall players that can take initiative on offense like Ratcliffe can are always in short supply, no pun intended. Edric Joseph

August 2017- Isaac Ratcliffe has signed his entry level contract. Even so he is expected to return to the Guelph Storm in the coming campaign for additional seasoning. Edric Joseph

June 2017 – Ratcliffe is a player a lot of scouts will love, he has size, can skate and plays a two-way game. Stuck in his draft year on a poor team in Guelph, he still managed to produce significant offence and had a solid performance at the Top Prospects game and finished with a two goal performance for Canada at the U18 tournament.

Still needs to develop his game but has a solid foundation of all the basics. Peter Harling
