October 2017 - Rasmussen signed with the Anaheim Ducks as a free agent. Peter Harling

November 2016- Rasmussen is getting a long look to start this season and he is making the most of it. Being used while shorthanded in Chicago means you have the trust of coach Quenneville and Rasmussen, on average, is seeing two minutes per game killing
penalties. Tony Carr

December 2015  – The big 25 year-old Swede spent three season in the Swedish Hockey League (formerly the Swedish Elite League) before coming to the Blackhawks on a one-year deal in June of 2014. After posting a solid 13 goals and 14 assists in 73 games in 2014-15 with Rockford (AHL), he was re-upped by Chicago for another year. His sophomore campaign with the IceHogs saw him scoring at a much higher pace, with 14 points in 22 games before being summoned by the big club on December 7. He scored in his NHL debut the next night, and has now posted three points in his first four games despite averaging just over nine minutes per game.

Rasmussen is a late bloomer who had some successful seasons offensively with Vaxjo during his time in Sweden and possesses a big frame conducive to the NHL. Despite not playing the most physical game, he is a decent skater and is responsible in his own end. He began his NHL career centering the third line for the Blackhawks and he has likely earned some more playing time with his eye-opening performance through four games. Matt Donohue

Fantasy Outlook: C+

Has some upside under the right circumstances and as an older player you won't have to wait long to find out exactly what you have here. A defensive specialist with limited fantasy upside.
