January 2018 - Timmins has won gold with Team Canada at the WJC and was named one of the top-three players of the tournament. His play in his own end, his ability to rush the puck, and his offensive talent highlighted by his assist on the go-ahead-goal for the gold medal have cemented him as a top-tier prospect. Hayden Soboleski

December 2017 - Timmins has survived the cuts and made Team Canada for the WJC - he projects as the third-pairing right defenceman. The Greyhounds' alternate captain is having his strongest year yet in the OHL and being rewarded with 34 points in 28 games so far. Hayden Soboleski

October 2017 - Timmins has been named to the Team OHL roster for the upcoming CIBC Canada Russia series. This comes after starting the season with eight assists in ten games, whih is on par with his production last year. His overall game is rounding out very well and he could be a key piece in any situation on the OHL blueline. Hayden Soboleski

September 2017 - Timmins lasted longer than expected in Avs camp thanks to consistent play at both eds of the ice, but has been returned to the OHL. He will continue to grow as an all-around smooth-skating d-man, and he showed us that he will fight for an NHL spot as early as next year. Hayden Soboleski

June 2017 - The Avalanche have selected Conor Timmins in the second round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft as they continue to fill out the right-hand-defenceman slots in the prospect depth chart.

The offensively-gifted Timmins lit up the OHL this year for 61 points in 67 games (a 48 point increase form the year before) and ran the point on the powerplay. He also added 69 PIM to his fantasy stat sheet, which adds even more value in some leagues. Timmins is close to ready for pro physicalilty, and moves the puck like d-men have to these days, but expect some seasoning before any NHL looks. Hayden Soboleski

Fantasy Outlook: B+

A slick puck-mover who is productive on the PP without being a defensive liability.
