July 2023 – Richard was signed to a one-year, two-way contract by Boston. Peter Harling

February 2022 – Richard was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for centre Jimmy Huntington. Pat Quinn

July 2020 – Richard has signed his ELC with Nashville.  He has signed a one-year two-way contract for the 2020-21 season.  Richard has yet to show the true offensive moxie that he did in junior, but has been trending steadily until this past season.  There is no doubt, Richard has made strides and developed a strong two-way game in the AHL, but he will need to add build on his offensive contributions to stick around in the Nashville system long-term.  It is likely another season in Milwaukee for Richard to show off his worth. Nicholas Kawka

December 2019 – Richard kicked off the year in Milwaukee with an early call up to the Predators but has yet to carry the quick look into much productivity this season.  Richard only has 8 points in 26 games thus far for Milwaukee and is coming off a solid career-best 47 points from last season. While the point totals haven’t been there, Richard continues to play a strong two-way game and is one of the top shooters on the team.  It looks to be only a matter of time before he breaks out. Nicholas Kawka

July 2019 – After a somewhat slow start to his 3rd full season in the AHL, Richard posted career numbers and finished 2nd in Admirals’ scoring as well as scoring at a point-per-game pace in the playoffs.  Now 22, the 2015 draftee has matured defensively and has proven that he can consistently produce at the pro level. Should Richard turn heads at the Predators training camp this fall, he could find himself as a bottom-six scoring winger. – Nicholas Kawka

December 2018 – Richard made his NHL debut on December first against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Predators’ fourth round pick in 2015 has had modest success in the AHL with Milwaukee this season with eight goals and thirteen points in 24 games. Richard was sent back to the Admirals after his debut. Matt Somma

September 2018 – Anthony Richard’s second professional season was full of growth. The 5-10 forward started to show the Predators why he was such a prolific goal scorer in the QMJHL. He went from a meager four goals in his first professional season with time in the ECHL to 19 goals in 2018 in the AHL full-time. Richard finished the season with 36 points and will be given a bigger role in the 2018-2019 campaign. Richard is still a year or two away from the NHL but has decent fantasy upside in long-term keeper leagues. When he makes it to the NHL, Richard will be a goal scorer in a bottom six role. Matt Somma

June 2017 — Richard’s first season in pro hockey saw his scoring total drop significantly from his impressive junior numbers. He went from scoring 37 goals and 87 points in 58 games to five goals and 18 points in 60 games. Last season he played with the Val d’or Foreurs (QMJHL) and this season he split time between the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) and the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL). The Trois Riviers native did however play most of the season with the Admirals. Making an appearance in 55 AHL and only 5 ECHL games. Niko Salminen

June 2016 – After being drafted in the fourth round of the draft, Richard returned to Val d’Or in the QMJHL. He had a successful regular season, finishing 11th in league scoring with 35 goals and 87 points. An early playoff exit in the Q saw him to jump to the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals and get three games of playoff experience in professional hockey. He will join the Admirals full time next year and will try to continue showcasing his offensive streak. Richard has shown an ability to put up points at the junior level however it remains to be seen if he can continue the trend as a pro. Donesh Mazloum
