Observations:

February 2017- Justin Hache has been traded along with veteran minor league goalie Justin Peters to the Dallas Stars for forwards Brendan Ranford and Branden Troock. Caught up in a numbers game in Tucson of the AHL with vets like Zbynek Michalek, Jamie McBain and Jarred Tinordi along with top prospects Anthony DeAngelo and Kyle Wood getting the majority of playing time, Hache found himself playing mostly in the ECHL with Rapid City. There he racked up two goals and nine points in 21 games along with one assist in five AHL games with Tucson. At this time Hache offers no fantasy value and seems more of a throw in on this trade. July 2016- Justin Hache played a strong second pro season, showing more offense while continuing his a solid defensive game. He contributed two goals and 14 points in 67 games for the Springfield Falcons while finishing with an impressive plus -5 for one of the worst teams in the AHL during 2015-16. Hache could see himself in Arizona as a injury replacement but will most likely spend most of 2016-17 playing for the Coyotes new AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners. Keith Duggan

May 2015- It was a decent rookie pro season for Justin Hache. Known as a defensive defenseman, he played that role well, not doing much offensively, six assists in 60 games. Unfortunately down the stretch and into the playoff's he was mostly a healthy scratch, so there is still a lot of work ahead before Hache is a serious NHL prospect. Keith Duggan

April 2014- After a strong 2013-2014 season for Cape Breton of the QMJHL, Phoenix signed their seventh round pick from 2012 to an entry level contract on 4/7/14. Hache experienced a lot in his four years of junior, from winning the Memorial Cup in his second season with Shawinigan in 2011-2012, to playing a ton of minutes for the bottom dwelling Cape Breton the next season where he finished with a minus -48. This season the Screaming Eagles were much improved and Hache’s play had a lot to do with that, with him winning the Kevin Lowe Trophy as QMJHL Best Defensive Defenseman and being named a Second Team All-Star. Even though he was the league’s best defensive defenseman his offensive stats were pretty good too with 46 points in 57 games and a much improved plus -15. Hache makes a good first pass out of his zone but is a more of a get his nose dirty taking care of his own zone first type of defenseman. Keith Duggan

Fantasy Outlook: D

Hache has spent most of 2016-17 in the ECHL and isn't very fantasy relevant at this time.
