Observations:
November 2016 —The former Nahsville Predators prospect, Garrett Noonan is currently playing in the ECHL with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. In 9 games his managed to get 3 assists along with 10 penalty minutes and a minus-7 rating. He attented the New York Rangers training camp but was released from tryouts. Niko Salminen
May 2014 – After a successful four year career at Boston University, Noonan recently signed a two year entry level contract with the Predators. Noonan will probably start next season with Milwaukee in the AHL. Noonan has shown flashes of offensive potential including a 16 goal sophomore season where he was the top scoring defenceman in Hockey East. Questions remain, however, about if he can bring that offensive prowess on a consistent basis. He has just 16 goals in his other three college seasons combined. Donesh Mazloum
March 2013 – Noonan is a physical defenseman who also sees power play ice time for Boston University. A good, but not great skater with a hard, but not always accurate shot, Noonan’s biggest drawback may be a lack discipline. While somebody has to lead the team in PIM, it does not need to be ill-timed or needless penalties, of which Noonan draws more than his share. If he can be smarter on the ice and not spend so much time in the box for retaliatory penalties, he can develop into a strong defensive asset who can also score.
Fantasy Outlook: D+
Noonan has shown an ability to put up decent point totals but it remains to be seen if he can do so at the professional level. A decent source of penalty minutes
