OHL, QMJHL, and WHL seasons are underway, with players now having up to 13 games played for us to start drooling over their scoring with a reasonable sample size. Lots of notes ahead so let's get to it!
OHL
Points-per-game leaders:
- Max Jones (ANH) – 5G, 10A in 6GP – Leads this list in the fewest games played and relatively few powerplay points. The future multi-category keeper has also racked up 16PIM.

2. Taylor Raddysh (TBL) – 9G, 15A in 10GP – The current league points leader is also a plus-17. Lake Erie is just really good at scoring.
3. Jeremy Bracco (TOR) – 7G, 12A in 8GP – Will continue to be assists-focused unless he starts putting more pucks on net.
4. Alex Debrincat (CHI) – 10G, 9A in 9GP – Has only 3 points on the man-advantage, imagine his production if this changes…
5. Adam Mascherin (FLA) – 5G, 16A in 10GP – Expect more goals going forward as Mascherin is shooting at a very high volume. Half of these points have come on the powerplay.
Gabriel Vilardi (2016) is the highest-scoring A-rated prospect on the NHL Central Scouting list with 5 goals and 6 assists in 7 games after returning to action from a knee injury.
QMJHL
Points-per-game leaders:
- Samuel Girard (NSH) – 3G, 14A in 7GP – This is from a DEFENCEMAN and no I've not made a numerical typo. This incredible output comes with less than 2 SOG/game so dont expect the goals to keep coming, and points are currently a bit boosted by his 9 powerplay assists in 7 games which wont be sustained.
- Tyler Boland (undrafted) – 11G, 10A in 11GP – Another top producer being boosted by 10 points with the extra man. Rimouskie is on fire and has 4 players if the top 8 in points-per-game.

3. Filip Chlapik (OTT) – 12G, 7A in 10GP – The top goal-scorer on this list is doing so by shooting nearly 7 SHOTS PER GAME! Has 25 PIM to compliment these crazy totals.
4. Dylan Montcalm (undrafted) – 5G, 15A in 11GP – Red flag: huge powerplay numbers but lowest plus-minus of those on this list (even).
5. Martins Dzierkals (TOR) – 6G, 9A in 9GP – Conversely, Dzierkals has the highest rating (plus-11) on this list, and the lowest man-advantage points (5). Only 22 SOG however.
Of the player on the NHL CS list, B-rated Samuel Bucek leads the way with 5G, 9A in 12GP. The rookie is finding his way but needs to shoot more and pass less.
WHL:
Point-per-game leaders:
- Kale Clague (LAK) – 1G, 5A in 2GP – Yes, only two games so far after suffering a leg injury in Kings training camp. The d-man will slow down but lets see what he can do.
- Sam Steel (ANH) – 9G, 11A in 10GP – 4(!) shorthanded points are included in this total. He thrives in every situation.
- Mason Shaw (2017) – 4G, 19A in 12GP – Given only a C grade from NHLCS, the playmaking machine must have a chip on his shoulder.

4. Adam Brooks (TOR) – 4G, 6A in 6GP – Impressively in this top-five with only one powerplay point in his totals. Highest plus-minus of the group with a plus-10.
5. Brayden Burke (undrafted) – 3G, 13A in 10GP – Undrafted twice now, lets see if he can somehow top his 109-point season that could't convince scouts last year.

AHL Notes:
- Anaheim recalled Shea Theodore. It was only a matter of time, now the patient owners will get to see the powerplay time they've been waiting for.
- Anaheim reassigned Nick Sorensen. He did well to make the team, and now likely has preferential standing for future call-ups.
- Anaheim reassigned Jakub Larsson. Another spot initially earned by strong play, but the Ducks are just too deep at D to justify rushing the promising rearguard.
- Minnisota recalled Joel Ericksson Ek. He scored in his first NHL game last night. Promising production for a team short on offensive prospects.
- LA recalled Jack Campbell. The injury train keeps rolling in the LA crease and Campbell, acquired this off-season for very little, will now see NHL time.
- Arizona reassigned Jared Tinordi. This bodes well for the odds of Jakub Chychryn to survive his 10-game tryout.
