Observations:
May 2016 – What a year for Fabbri. A successful regular season for the Blues, where he proved his ability, and has carried that over into the playoffs. He’s become one of the more reliable forwards for Ken Hitchcock on a loaded roster. He’ll continue to see a top six role on a very talented team. He doesn’t carry a name like McDavid, Eichel, or Panarin, but he could arguably be in that same class. Matt Kowalski
November 2015 – Fabbri has returned from his short tenure on the sideline due to a concussion and has drawn back into the Blues lineup. Given that the team is undecided on whether to keep him with the big club or return him to Junior, they do have the benefit of several more games before ultimately deciding his fate. Brendan Ross
October 2015 – Fabbri earned a spot on the Blues roster after another successful camp. He would have likely made the roster last year if not for injury, but this year the 19 year-old stayed healthy while playing well. Everyone in St. Louis is really excited about Fabbri's game, including Hitchcock. His hard work and relentless dedication draws comparisons to Jonathan Toews and Zach Parise. Robbi played the first two games for the Blues, and hasn't disappointed. He notched a game winning goal in the first game while working on the second line with Lehtara and Schwartz. Fabbri appeared to be in a perfect spot to break out, but sustained an injury and may be out for the next week or so. It will be interesting to see where he fits back in once he returns to the Blues, but as long as he is a top six forward he is worth a look. Matt Kowalski
October 2015 – Robby Fabbri continued to exceed expectations cracking the opening day roster for the St. Louis Blues. The young skilled pivot scored in his first career NHL game making good on a centering pass in the slot burying the puck behind Oilers goaltender Cam Talbot (Video below). Unfortunately, Fabbri was knocked out of his second game and has been diagnosed with a concussion. The St. Louis Blues have placed Fabbri on IR as of October 14th. No one doubts Fabbri's ability to play at this level with his offensive skill set but his durability has been drawn into debate so this injury will certainly fuel the debate. Brendan Ross
March 2015 – Fabbri suffered a high ankle sprain during the World Junior Championships in January. Prior to the injury he was having a nice tournament with two goals and four assists. He ended up missing two months of the season with his OHL team, the Guelph Storm. Once he returned to OHL he picked up right where he left off and put up 13 points in eight games, and 51 overall in just 30 games. Fabbri almost made the Blues out of training camp so it will be interesting to see if he makes their roster next season. Exciting, gifted, and has all the desired intangibles, which make him very intriguing. Matt Kowalski
October 2014 – Guelph pivot Robby Fabbri has been named to the OHL’s roster for the upcoming Subway® Super Series and will compete in the November 13th game in Peterborough. Since returning from NHL camp and injury, Fabbri has scored in each of his first three games and should push for a scoring role on Canada’s 2015 U20 WJC team. Brendan Ross
October 2014 – Fabbri made a big impression at training camp and during the preseason but was eventually sent back to Guelph of the OHL. The Blues possess a ton of size and all-around ability throughout its lineup to help shelter him when he does make the jump to the NHL full-time. There is potential for some big things here down the road. Eric Daoust
June 2014 – The St. Louis Blues selected Robby Fabbri 21st overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Brendan Ross
May 2014 – Presented with the Wayne Gretzky 99 Award for the OHL Playoffs MVP, Robby Fabbri couldn't have finished on a better personal note after rallying off 13 goals and 28 points in 16 playoff games en route to helping his Guelph Storm win the 2014 OHL Championship. Brendan Ross
March 2014 – Robby Fabbri was named the OHL Player of the Month for February after leading the league in goals (11) and points (23) in 12 games. Fabbri has been flourishing this season and it won't be surprising to see him rise up draft boards as he prepares for the 2014 NHL Draft. DobberProspect scout Brendan Ross speaks highly on this dazzling young player, "Fabbri is an underrated player heading towards the draft. He owns top-end hockey sense and a sly ability to find soft spots on the ice quickly exposing defenses when the puck arrives. He's quick, elusive and owns some soft mitts." Brendan Ross
February 2014 – Although his smallish frame might steer away some teams, Guelph Storm forward Robby Fabbri is a player who has shown extremely well. He’s got an innate ability to sneak into scoring areas uncontested and strike quickly. Fabbri displays great hands and hockey sense so productive numbers naturally follow him. His skating is top-end featuring quick first steps and elusive edgework, both elements that contribute to his success as an undersized player. Fabbri thinks the game at an advanced level, possesses a competitive attitude and if size wasn’t a consideration, he’d be considered a top 10 pick. Don’t be surprised to see him as a top player years from now as his potential is very high. Brendan Ross
Fantasy Outlook: A-
Extremely gifted offensive forward with an uncanny ability to find open ice. Projects as a top six forward equally adept at playing as a scorer and/or playmaker.
