Observations:
November 2015 – Haggerty was acquired from the New York Rangers at the draft in June in exchange for Antti Raanta. He notched 15 goals and 18 assists for the Hartford Wolf Pack during an impressive AHL rookie campaign. 2015-16 has been a bit of a trying year for Haggerty thus far, as he has tallied one goal and played just four games four games for the IceHogs. This certainly doesn’t bode well for a call-up to the big club but he will still be afforded another opportunity in 2016 when injuries inevitably hit the Blackhawks. Matt Donohue
October 2014 – Ryan Haggerty scored a couple of goals in his first professional games vs Philadelphia on September 29, but his overall performance was not good enough to make the NHL roster and the Rangers sent him to the Wolf Pack of the AHL. Haggerty is a natural scorer and he can quarterback the power play. He will play huge minutes in Hartford and can be one of the first injury fill-ins for the Rangers. Jozsef Kurtosi
September 2014 – Haggerty was the Rangers' leading scorer in the Traverse City rookie tournament with three goals and an assist in four games. He has pro size and strength and thinks the game very well. He has a lot of assets which the Rangers could use right now, including his quick release, finishing ability on the power play and his luxury of being a right handed shot. If he can maintain his Traverse City performance in Rangers Training Camp, he should be a top competitor for a bottom six role this season, otherwise he will be top dog in Hartford. Jozsef Kurtosi
April 2014 – One of the most sought-after college free agents this season, Ryan Haggerty has signed his first professional contract last month with the New York Rangers. . He has played the last three years in college at R.P.I. Haggerty led his college team in scoring this season with career best numbers, 45 points in 38 games. A very effective power play trigger man, he scored ten of his 28 goals with the man advantage. He also had six game winning goals. He is a goal scorer with great hands, a strong, accurate wrist shot and heavy slapshot. Haggerty posses a solid build and skates really well. He has all the tools for a successful NHL career, and will likely begin preparing for it next fall playing in the AHL for the Hartford Wolf Pack. Jozsef Kurtosi
Haggerty has top six winger potential if his game translates well to the professional rinks. He will score goals, especially power play goals. He has some value at deeper leagues, but needs time to adjust.
