Shoots: L |
Height: 6-2 |
Weight: 180 |
Born: 1992-02-27 |
Hometown: Eden Prairie MN, USA |
Drafted: 2011 Round 3, 82 overall by NYI |
Observations:
Nov 2015 – According to Eliteprospects.com Clark has retired from professional hockey, so if anyone still had him on their roster (which is highly unlikely) you can drop him. Pat Quinn
November 2013 – Clark has been assigned to Stockton of the ECHL after posting one assist in 11 games with the Sound Tigers of the AHL. The ECHL is a familiar spot for Clark as he put up two goals and nine points in 24 games for Gwinnett last year. Brad Wilson
April 2013 – Clark has decent size with a 6-2 frame, but he has failed to show a consistent scoring touch at the University of Wisconsin. In 2011/12, Clark skated in 21 games with only one assist and was minus-5 for the Badgers. Clark had been placed in a lower line role by coach Mike Eaves who tried using him as a physical force. The Badgers were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs and Clark had limited success. Clark signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Islanders in July 2012 and skipped his final two seasons of college hockey. Clark was sent to the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL. In 24 games with the Gladiators, Clark had nine points with 36 penalty minutes. Clark showed much improvement when he was called up to play with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL having two points in four games with four penalty minutes.
Fantasy Outlook: D+
Clark is still very young. He has shown some improvement in the AHL and continues to be a physical force. If he continues to show improvements and plays physical, Clark may have a chance at making the Islanders roster in the future.
