Observations:
November 2015 – Sarault is toiling in the ECHL. Flourishing there, actually (three goals, five points in six games). But he'll need to work his way back to the AHL to get back on Anaheim's radar. Dobber
January 2014 – Charles Sarault has posted five goals and five assists in 29 games with the Norfolk Admirals, his first pro season in the AHL. These numbers aren't bad considering that he sees fourth line even strength and first PP minutes. He'll need to work on his defensive game a bit more so he can be trusted with more minutes, but he is adjusting well and the team is using him accordingly. –Kevin Won
March 2013 – On the final day of the Ontario Hockey League season, Sarault had to sit and watch Vincent Trocheck score three points to surpass his 108 season points to overtake the scoring lead by a mere single point. Sarault had a tremendous overage season scoring 22 goals, a league-leading 86 assists and 108 points, all while wearing the captaincy in Sarnia. In the OHL Western Conference Coaches poll, Sarault was recognized in several categories including top playmaker, third smartest player and third best defensive forward. Brendan Ross
March 2013 – The Anaheim Ducks have reportedly signed Sarnia Sting captain and OHL current leading scorer, Charlie Sarault. Brendan Ross
February 2013 – Following up on the undrafted Charlie Sarault, he currently sits second in OHL scoring trailing Nick Cousins by a mere one point. The overage playmaking forward posted a seven-point game versus the Erie Otters on Friday, February 22nd in a lopsided effort. Sarault will surely be sought after by NHL clubs as he has been one of the OHL's most consistent and dangerous offensive weapons all season long. Brendan Ross
December 2012 – Sarault was named OHL Player of the Week (ending December 2nd) after scoring two goals and eight points while posting an impressive plus-5 rating in three Sarnia wins. Brendan Ross
December 2012 – Charles Sarault is a slick playmaking centre with tremendous on-ice vision and intelligence. He possesses a strong work ethic and understands how the game should be played at both ends of the rink. He is slightly undersized and his skating is just average but he compensates at the major junior level by thinking the game at an elite level. Brendan Ross
Sarault has offensive skill, but will need to show more at the AHL level first. Step 1: stop playing in the ECHL
