Observations:
October 2015 – The Arizona Coyotes aren't loaded with NHL offensive stars but their up-and-coming prospects will certainly draw some attention and Max Domi leads the way. Due to the lack of NHL talent, Max Domi will be handed the keys to drive the offense and it's shown in his first couple of games. After finding the gamesheet in his first career NHL game, Domi found himself lined up against experienced offensive forwards Antoine Vermette and Mikkel Boedker. The Coyotes have used Domi primarily on their second powerplay unit alongside Martin Hanzal and Anthony Duclair. Brendan Ross
October 2015- It was an awesome first NHL game for Max Domi as he finished with a goal and assist in the Coyotes 4-1 win over the L.A. Kings on October 9th. With this strong start, Domi quickly enters the Calder Trophy talk. Keith Duggan
October 2015- To no one's suprprise, Max Domi has made the Coyotes opening night roster. The stint will be Domi's first in the NHL after he was previously sent back to juniors twice since being drafted 12th overall in 2103. The Coyotes will struggle to score this season, so don't expect big numbers right away from the skilled rookie but a 40 point season is not out of the question. Keith Duggan
May 2015- Max Domi completed an excellent final season of junior. The London captain finished with 32 goals and 102 points in 57 games, ninth in OHL scoring, (one of three Knights to finish in the top ten) while playing far fewer games than anyone ahead of him except Connor McDavid. He was voted co-team MVP and named to the OHL First All-Star Team. Domi did not get to compete in a fourth Memorial Cup as London was swept in the second round of the playoff's by McDavid's Erie Otters, finishing with nine points in nine playoff games. Overall, Domi racked up 331 regular-season points in 244 games with the Knights. His junior resume includes two OHL championships and three trips to the Memorial Cup. Domi is ready for the next challenge and will be a big part of the Coyotes in 2015-16. Keith Duggan
January 2015- It was an absolutely awesome 2015 World Junior Championship Tournament for Max Domi and Team Canada, as they won gold with a dramatic 5-4 win over Russia in the final. Quickly becoming a crowd favorite in both Montreal and Toronto, he finished with five goals and five assists, fourth overall in points. Domi was voted to the tournament's All-Star Team and was named tourney's Best Forward. Keith Duggan
December 2014- Max Domi has officially earned a spot on Canada's roster for the World Junior Championship. He is currently playing on the first line with Sam Reinhart and Anthony Duclair. On December 23rd, Canada's final pre-tourney game against Switzerland, Domi notched a hat trick in a 6-0 win. If he continues to play like that, it could go a long way to breaking Canada's five year gold drought. Keith Duggan
December 2014- Max Domi has been named Pioneer Energy OHL Player of the Week for the week ending December 7th, after he scored eight points in three games(five goals and three assists). Domi now leads the OHL in scoring with 58 points in 27 games. This is an excellent lead up to Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp which opens Thursday in Toronto. Keith Duggan
December 2014- Max Domi has been invited to attend Canada's National Junior Team Selection Camp, beginning December 11th. He is currently third in the OHL in points, first in assists, with a line of 12-38-50 in 24 games for London. It would be a huge surprise if Domi does not make Canada's roster for the 2015 World Junior Championship. Keith Duggan
October 2014- Max Domi has been voted captain of the London Knights by his teammates. He's off to a solid start to the OHL season with 18 points in 11 games so far. Keith Duggan
October 2014 – London forward Max Domi has been named to the OHL’s roster for the upcoming Subway® Super Series and will compete in both games on November 13th and 17th in Peterborough and Kingston, respectively. After being snubbed from the 2014 U20 WJC roster, look for Max Domi to prove that he can be a valuable contributor to Canada’s national team. Brendan Ross
October 2014- With the Coyotes leaving some roster spots open for young players and really needing some skill in their top six, it was expected that Max Domi would make the team for 2014-15, or at worst play a few games in Arizona before being returned to London of the OHL. But with less than a week before the season begins, the Coyotes announced that Domi will be returned to London for his fourth year with the team. Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney has stated several times they will not rush prospects anymore and feel another season in juniors he could grow and mature more. He had an terrific camp, scoring four points in four preseason games. Even though Domi stills needs to work on the defensive side of the game, expect him to be one of the top scorers in the OHL, a leader for London and get a shot this season at Team Canada for the World Junior Tournament. Keith Duggan
June 2014- It wasn't a banner Memorial Cup Tournament for Max Domi and his London Knights as the host team finished 0-3. It was rumored that he was still playing with a shoulder injury, finishing at two assists in those three losses. With 2013-14 behind him, Domi is looking forward to his second training camp with the Coyotes and they expect him to be a serious contender for a roster spot for this coming season. Keith Duggan
May 2014 – Left winger Max Domi was named to the OHL's 3rd All-Star Team joining Sam Bennett, Nick Baptiste, Matt Finn, Darnell Nurse and Oscar Dansk. Domi and his Knights are preparing to represent London at the 2014 CHL Mastercard Memorial Cup and the young forward will surely have a jump in his game after being fully rested for the past month. Domi was battling a nagging shoulder injury throughout the OHL playoffs. Brendan Ross
April 2014- After scoring 93 points in 61 games finishing eighth in league scoring, Domi was nominated for OHL MVP. An interesting fantasy stat Domi also finished the season with 90 penalty minutes. Domi's London Knights are currently in the second round of the playoffs against the Guelph Storm after sweeping the Windsor Spitfires in the first round. Keith Duggan
February 2014 – For the second time this season Domi has been named OHL Player of the week. Domi now sits tied for 7th in OHL scoring. Keith Duggan
January 2014 – Max Domi is the OHL’s Player of the Month for the month of December after leading the league in scoring with 23 points in 10 games including 11 goals and 12 assists along with a plus-minus rating of plus-4. He is currently on a ten game point streak and had seven multi-point games during the point streak. Domi’s offensive game has really awaken in December and especially since not being considered for Canada’s 2014 World Junior team. When he was left off the roster at the start of the month he had 25 points in 21 games for the London Knights, now he has 57 points in 33 games and is currently 8th in the OHL in scoring. Keith Duggan
December 2013 – Since not being named to Canada’s final evaluation camp for the 2014 World Junior Tournament, Domi has been on an absolute tear in the OHL. For the week ending December 15th, Domi was named OHL player of the week after scoring 11 points in four games netting five goals and six assists. Domi is now tied for 20th in the league scoring with 42 points in 28 games and is currently riding a six game point streak. Keith Duggan
December 2013 – Since not being named to Canada’s final evaluation camp for the 2014 World Junior Tournament Domi has been on an absolute tear in the OHL. For the week ending December 15 Domi was named OHL player of the week after scoring 11 points in four games , netting five goals and six assists. Domi is now tied for 20th in the league scoring with 42 points in 28 games and is currently riding a six game point streak. Keith Duggan
December 2013 – With 25 points in 21 games Domi has not got off to the start expected from the skilled forward in the OHL this season. He was not impressive at all for the OHL in the SUBWAY Super Series, and with his slow start was not named to Hockey Canada's 25 man-national junior team final evaluation camp. Everyone knows he has the skill to be top forward for that team but his work ethic just hasn't been there this season. Hopefully this snub wakes Domi up and his play picks up to where it should be. Keith Duggan
November 2013 – Max Domi of the London Knights was named to the OHL roster for the 2013 SUBWAY Super Series. Domi’s mediocre 4 goals and 10 points through 10 games places him eighth in team scoring. Brendan Ross
September 2013 – After a very strong training camp in which it looked like the Coyotes were going to keep Max Domi for at least a few games at the start of the season, Domi was one of the last cuts at camp and sent back to London of the OHL. While disappointing we didn't get to see Domi play at the NHL level he still remains an excellent prospect. He will go back to London where he will be a leader and go to guy on a very strong team which is expected to make a run at the Memorial Cup. Keith Duggan
March 2013 – Max Domi finished as the top scorer among 2013 NHL Draft Eligible skaters with 39 goals and 87 points in 64 games with the London Knights. In the OHL Western Conference Coaches Poll, Domi finished second in voting in best playmaker and best stickhandler categories. Brendan Ross
February 2013 – Domi remains an interesting prospect. There is no doubt the small feisty Domi owns the offensive skills of a top 10 forward but the criticisms come in many forms – size and strength concerns, too individualistic, and even the fact that he has diabetes have all surfaced as alarms, whether warranted or not. Regardless, Domi is an elite skater with great puck skills, above-average distribution skills (when employed) and absolutely loves to have the puck on his stick. If Domi slides outside of the top-20, one NHL team will be absolutely thrilled. Domi is a gamer who ups his game when his team needs him the most and with so many small skilled forwards exceeding in the NHL today, Domi’s size should not concern too many teams. Brendan Ross
Fantasy Outlook: A-
Hugely skilled forward with the potential to be a top forward from this draft class. His size will remain the biggest concern but it shouldn’t hold him back given his intelligence and gamebreaking abilitiy.
