Observations:

July 2015 – Dmitry Sinityn has certainly had an interesting journey thus far in his hockey career. Sinitsyn moved from Dallas from Moscow at the age of 15 to pursue his hockey dream and played for the Dallas Stars U16 junior program. His stay in Big D would be short lived as he was forced to go back to Russia due to visa issues. During his draft year he ended up only playing a handful of games in the Russian Jr. league. Despite this, Dallas drafted in the 7th round of the 2012 draft. Post draft, Sinitsyn has spent time with UMass-Lowell, the Regina Pats (putting up 44 points in 69 games) and this past season in Russia with Dynamo Moscow shuttling between the KHL and the VHL (Russian equivalent of the AHL). This was an encouraging season for Sinitsyn playing meaningful minutes in the KHL as a 20 year old and was a PP regular in the VHL. Drafted as somewhat of an unknown, he is certainly a project with boom or bust potential. Sinistyn does have some tantalizing tools though having a good combination of size and speed with a high-risk high-reward, offensive element to his game. Sinitsyn is signed with Dynamo Moscow until the end of 2015-16. Brad Phillips

Fantasy Outlook: C-

He might have some value in very deep keeper leagues for the patient GM, but faces an uphill battle towards fantasy relevance with a logjam of other defensemen on the depth chart.
